Daily Star live review online

SOON to be a household name thanks to a Twinings TV ad, in reality Charlene Soraia’s cover of Wherever You Will Go is her least impressive song.

The Londoner’s unique fusion of jazz and folk makes her one of the most interesting guitarists on the scene.

Even more enchanting is her ability to whistle, Mariah Carey style, using her falsetto during gorgeous homespun tracks like Postcards From Io. Best track was a strangely funky Frank Zappa-ish newie called Animal using a rarely seen baritone bass.

The obligatory Top 10 Twinings song was saved for last, delivered a capella because she didn’t know it on guitar, bless. But really this girl is way too talented to be doing covers.
